Gun nuts should eat their guns instead of just eating the 'guns' and nutz of other gun nuts. Finally, responsible adults are in charge of the government.

I have been asked by others to buy guns for them...(usually because said person cant buy one due to felonies etc...)...I have never bought a gun for anyone....other than My wife... ...and any guns I have ARE registered to ME.....and if I import any guns from another country...(EI: UZIs from Israel) ...I use liscensed dealers on BOTH ends. yur frin LegalHO (imagine that) _________________________ METSADA

There is no need for fully automatic assault weapons in this country. The ban is simply a tool used by law enforcement to keep weapons of this type out of the hands of outlaw gangs and terror groups like the KKK and many militia groups here in the U.S. Legitimate collectors can get a license in order to keep and own these rifles. The guns I own are perfectly safe from being banned and never will. Also, to my thinking, NRA is the worst thing for gun owners. They are as radical as most fringe militias. _________________________

How many people have relatives or know someone shot with a weapon? In those cases, how many of the shooters where gun owners, sportsmen, hunters who purchased and legally own their weapons? I also know that you and the anti-gun crowd also think that you are right, and that anyone who likes firearms is a right wing nut, mentally unstable or outright criminal. I absolutely despise issues like gun rights and abortion. It makes otherwise reasonable people completely stubborn, radicalized zealots. You accuse racists, religious conservatives and other groups of being blinded by fear, intolerance and ignorance... but the anti-gun crowd is no less enlightened in that respect; they are also driven by fear and think nothing to strip others of their rights and a lifestyle under the false belief that it will make them safer or happier.

There's no sport in using them to kill animals, and you can't use them for target shooting. I think the jones for owning such weapons is pure penis envy and nothing more. (And yes, I've handled such weapons and admired what could be admired about them, but they didn't give me a hard on.) That said, I'm not anti-gun. But I am anti-idiot and for gun safety. I know the NRA would piss and moan, but I think any legal gun sale should come with mandatory lessons in its usage. I also think that anyone who has a gun and small children in the same home should be required to put the kids through safety and awareness training. Unless a kid's seen what a real gun can do, they have no idea it isn't just like on TV and in the movies when they pull it out of daddy's closet and run off to play with the neighbor kid or their little brother. We will never have gun control in this country. It's much too late. Control of ammunition, however, could be another story. And maybe not a bad idea. _________________________ The believer is happy. I feel the same way about alcohol. There is no need for alcohol. It causes far more deaths from teenagers binge drinking, people driving while intoxicated, birth defects, abusive relationships and even depression and suicide. People that need the crutch of alcohol, even for the occasional escape should get themselves checked for irregularities, or perhaps take up a sport or hobby... sports shooting, hunting, rock climbing are much healthier passtimes... plus could be valuable skills if you serve in the armed forces or law enforcement or even to protect your home or family from some drunk intruder. Difference is, I'm not trying to ban drinking or dictate what others should do with their lives. Don't even get me started on cell phones; they should be banned unless they have an analog signal, are not cordless and are made entirely of wood with an exception made for the screen; glass will be allowed only if it US manufactured and does not break when struck with a hammer. Cell phone users should also have a 60 wait day period for a comprehensive background check and cancer screening and should be immediately imprisoned and their phone confiscated if it rings in a movie theatre, but not in a home theatre or living room. The phone's keypad should be locked to disallow texting by minors and a painful dual retinal/anal scan will be required to activate the keypad in the event 911 needs to be dialed for emergency service. Additionally, Bluetooth accessories would require a concealed phone license.
