GW, the only thing constant in American politics is change. You wanted change and you got it. Now you're getting some more that you didn't want.
Obama wasn't really scraped off the bottom of the barrel, so much as he was shoved into office without the usual vetting by the media, or the usual documentary disclosures such as college transcripts, tax returns, financial statements and thesis papers written while in college. These are missing.
He also has very little previous service in government, and no service in the military or in the corporate world, to measure him by. Obama was a completely unknown quantity except for the fact that he was a "community organizer," which translates into the term "shakedown artist."
Obama was a virtual unknown.
All we really had to measure him by were his associations with Jeremiah Wright, Tony Rezko, William Ayers and the Daley machine in Chicago. If the Republicans had nominated a white conservative with a similar resume -- an elitist's elitist, from Columbia and Harvard Law, with no background documents, no military experience, no corporate experience and associations with Terry Nichols, Jack Abramoff and Fred Phelps -- there would have been heads exploding all over the left wing of America.
Since his inauguration, Obama has broken campaign promise after campaign promise. He has continued extraordinary rendition and warrantless wiretaps. He has stated that the United States has the power to detain certain people indefinitely without a trial. He nominated two current or former lobbyists to his Cabinet, two more at the undersecretary level, and 13 more to other high-ranking jobs in his administration, after promising to reduce the influence of lobbyists in this new administration.
Obama made a deal with the pharmaceutical industry, after promising during the campaign that such negotiations would be broadcast live on C-SPAN. They gave up 2% of their future price increases, at a time when European governments have negotiated wholesale discounts of 35% to 55% with the pharmaceutical industry. What a sweetheart deal for those fat cat corporations.
And Obama has appointed unelected czars who have announced they are communists, that they believe in euthanasia and rationing health care, and that they believe in forced abortions and forced sterilization. These appointments bypass the confirmation process, after Obama promised that he would have the most transparent administration in history. Again imagine the outrage from the left if the Republicans had elected a president like this one.
He nominated a Supreme Court Justice who had announced that the gender and race to which said Supreme Court Justice belonged had bestowed unique wisdom to write better legal opinions -- better than the other gender, and other races. Imagine the outrage if a white male Republican Supreme Court nominee had expressed such beliefs -- Robert Bork, for example -- and if a Republican-controlled Senate had confirmed the nomination.
GW, imagine how you would have reacted if a conservative, pro-life, fundamentalist Republican president with lily white skin, the same sparse resume and refusal to disclose key background documents, and the same track record after being nominated, had been elected.
He rushed through a so-called "economic stimulus package," and promised that if it was passed right away, unemployment would stay below 9%. Well we passed it right a way and here we are, with unemployment at 9.7% and it's been over 9% for five months in a row. But Wall Street is making a profit again, and the fat cat corporations are handing out million dollar bonuses again.
He looks really sharp in a $2000 suit, he reads well from a teleprompter, and he's got an enormous smile. And he's left a trail of broken promises a mile wide. He's embarking on an ambitious legislative agenda, and rushing massive changes in the law through Congress without appropriate review.
Imagine your reaction.
This is the outrage that is fueling the Tea Party movement. And the Democrats will feel their wrath in November 2010.

Congressional Research Service: Illegal Aliens Can Receive Benefits Under House Health Care Bill
WASHINGTON, Aug. 26 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Tuesday, the Congressional Research Service (CRS), the "research arm" for the United States Congress, issued a report validating an analysis by the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), that illegal aliens would be able to receive benefits under the House health care reform bill, America's Affordable Health Care Act of 2009 (H.R. 3200).
The report, Treatment of Noncitizens in H.R. 3200, states definitively, "H.R. 3200 does not contain any restrictions on noncitizens - whether legally or illegally present, or in the United States temporarily or permanently - participating in the Exchange." H.R. 3200 establishes a Health Insurance Exchange which would provide individuals and small businesses with access to health care plans, including the "public option" to be managed by the government. http://news.prnewswire.com/DisplayReleas...83496&EDATE
Only two possibilities exist.
1) He didn't know this ( ie, he's stupid/uninformed and is babbling on about a bill which he doesn't know about) 2) He knew it and lied.
Which is it?

1> Do you have a graph that uses the same Yardstick?
2> On your (albeit misrepresented graph) The 2009 budget is the worst and it was the last one submitted buy George W. Bush.

The budget, as submitted by George W. Bush, didn't contain Obama's $787 billion for a so-called "economic stimulus package" that isn't stimulating the economy. This is a measure of the deficit, not the budget.
Why didn't you mention that, GoreLost?

Cripes, LC, you're not too fussy about what kind of change you get, are you? (Castro, Stalin and Hitler all promised "change," as I recall. You okay with their changes?)
The only president in recent years that I'd describe as being scraped off the bottom of the barrel was George W. Bush.
And finally, protocols are what define us as a civilized society. Aren't you one of the guys who thought Serena Williams violated the protocols of tennis?
rule of law and not of men is what defines us a civilized society, according to the guy who wrote the book on constitutions.
Protocols are just bs in public at odds with what is kept private.
There is nothing any more sacred or civilized about our leaders than there is of our masses. They just wear nicer suits. They are all bastards once you strip the veneer of civility.

If you really want to see a graph of the where the Bush stimulus package fell, you'll have to ask the heads of the oil companies, the pharmaceutical companies and the insurance companies. The effects of the stimulus will only be seen in their portfolios.

Unfortunately, gourcko and tlb won't be guest panelists at next year's CPAC:
In one symbolic development, organizers of next year’s Conservative Political Action Conference — the country’s biggest annual meeting of activists on the right — said last week that they had rejected a request to schedule a panel on whether Obama was a native-born U.S. citizen.
“It would fill a room,” said event director Lisa De Pasquale. “But so would a two-headed monkey. There really are so many more important issues, and it’s only a three-day conference.”
CPAC officials said WorldNetDaily’s Farah asked the group to hold the panel.
***
Whoa! I take that back. If they just short-circuit the birtherism nonsense, tlb could get the gig by filling in for the two-headed monkey.

Because you brought up a misleading graphic which you either do not understand, or are being a calculated liar about it. In other words you brought it up.
That said, I don;t know if you are totally ignorant of the thins you speak of, or if you are a complete lair. I am willing to give you the benefit of the doubt.

Gorelost: "The 2009 budget is the worst and it was the last one submitted buy George W. Bush. "
You are either stupid, dishonest or you just don't understand the graph. Probably all three.
It's the CBO estimate of spending/revenue and the Obama White House estimate of spending/revenue, not George Bush's budget.
Do you 'honestly' (I know "honestly" is not in your vocabulary, Gorelost - but try to project what that word might mean) believe that Bush's budget was $1.7 trillion deficit????? Just try to be honest for once, and no hoaxes, no lies, at least this time, Gorelost.
The graph is labeled the (Obama) White House and the CBO estimate (AFTER the 'stimulus') and the revenue projections are as of early summer.
So don't try those games of blaming the fiscal 2009 deficit on Bush. His budget was a $407 billion deficit for F2009, and Obama's is $1.7 TRILLION! President Bush's 2009 Budget

In gourcko's bizarro world, those aren't accomplishments.
Starting and dropping two wars, turning a surplus into a massive deficit, presiding over terrist attacks and the collapse of the economy and the infrastructure of the entire federal government - now, those are accomplishments.

GW: "Aren't you conservative guys supposed to be high on traditional values? Keeping your fucking cake hole shut while the president is addressing Congress is one of those traditional values that we all thought was sacrosanct."
I think Wilson is an ass, and I'm glad he apologized. He should never have done that.
But YOU, on the other hand, are full of faux outrage about Wilson but have nothing to say when I call you a phony because your faux outrage quotient somehow evaporates when it's a Democrat, Harry Reid, calling the president a liar.
The poem: Reid is an ass, But you give him a pass, Because he's the same party as you.
You're a deeply cynical hypocrite, GW. Not a genuine bone in your body. As far as I know you're not a chronic liar like cb or Gorelost, but you haven't a shred of integrity.

Latest Bloomberg poll says the generic Congressional Democratic candidate will beat the generic Congressional Republican candidate 40-32. And 15% of the electorate says, "A pox on both your houses, I'm staying home!" You can't gain many seats back against THOSE odds, Frank...

So don't try those games of blaming the fiscal 2009 deficit on Bush. His budget was a $407 billion deficit for F2009, and Obama's is $1.7 TRILLION! President Bush's 2009 Budget
So you aren't including $700 billion bailout passed under Bush as part of Bush's deficit, but rather Obama's?
Hahahahahaha And you have the nerve to call me dishonest?

Is this with or without the TARP money, Gag?
And with or without the money for the Iraq war?

Those that use that graphic fail to take into the consideration of what the deficit figures included when used in the graph. I don't know if they are simply uninformed, or intentionally trying to mislead. Whatever the case, they are wrong, as usual.

You really think November 2010 is going to be a disaster for Republicans? Would you care to elaborate?

Does He Lie?
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/09/17/AR2009091703329_pf.html
Obama doesn't lie. He merely elides, gliding from one dubious assertion to another. This has been the story throughout his whole health-care crusade. Its original premise was that our current financial crisis was rooted in neglect of three things -- energy, education and health care. That transparent attempt to exploit Emanuel's Law -- a crisis is a terrible thing to waste -- failed for health care because no one is stupid enough to believe that the 2008 financial collapse was caused by a lack of universal health care.

"...Many independent voters are disappointed in specific things that Obama has done, they still hope that he will do well and believe that he might. To be sure, red America has already given Obama the thumbs down. And blue America just wishes he would be more liberal. But it's purple America, the independents who voted for Democrats in the 2006 midterm election by an 18-point margin, that makes the biggest difference right now. Most House Democrats live in blue America and show little awareness that their party has a problem. However, the Democrats' majority is built on a layer of 54 seats that the party picked up in 2006 and 2008 that are largely in purple -- or even red -- America. Democrats ought to keep in mind that 84 of their current House members represent districts won by President Bush in 2004 or John McCain in 2008.
A whopping 48 of those Democrats -- eight more than the size of their party's majority -- are from districts that voted for both Bush and McCain. That America is very different from the Democratic base in blue America, and it sees many major issues very differently.
Resurgent Republic's findings corroborate a growing view that the cumulative impact of Democratic missteps has reached a critical mass, with Obama receiving some damage and with Democrats in Congress and the Democratic Party receiving much more. Critics point to the Troubled Asset Relief Program; the takeovers of banks and auto companies; an economic stimulus package that they see as ineffectual and stuffed with pork; and climate-change and health care reform efforts as all being contributing factors to Democrats' decline.
The 17-point advantage that Democrats enjoyed in the January Gallup Poll (when "leaners" were included) shrank to 5 points in August. Their edge on the generic congressional ballot test has vanished, according to most national polls. For three years, Democrats enjoyed high single-digit or low double-digit leads on this question -- a very good indicator of which direction (and how hard) the political winds are blowing as a congressional election nears.
What we are seeing is an electorate growing just as disgusted with the Democratic majority as it did with the Republican one in 2006. The mounting ethics problems of House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Charles Rangel, D-N.Y., combined with ongoing allegations about House Defense Appropriations Subcommittee Chairman John Murtha, D-Pa., and others on his panel threaten to make matters still worse for their party.
Sure, November 2010 is a long way off, and the economy may well be substantially better by then. But Democratic lawmakers, who must face the voters two years before Obama does, should remember that the public's attitudes tend to eventually harden. Think cement. Charlie Cook

You really think November 2010 is going to be a disaster for Republicans? Would you care to elaborate?
Anne Selzer, a pollster with an extraordinary record for accuracy on behalf of Bloomberg News, says the generic polling preferences favors the Democrats 40-32. And the most recent D Corps poll favors the Dems by 46-42. Most other polls show a similar result favoring the Democrats.
And on Monday, Massachusetts votes on whether to let Deval Patrick pick an interim successor to Ted Kennedy. That's 60...
