"The Alaska State Trooper at the center of Sarah Palin's so-called "Troopergate Scandal"--which impeded her run for the vice-presidency and stained her record as Alaska governor--has broken his more than year-long silence since his embattled divorce with Palin's sister, Molly, became a cause celebre during last year's presidential campaign.

After reading passages from Palin's memoirs Going Rogue that deal with his marriage and subsequent divorce, a "fed up" Mike Wooten, 37, who still serves as an Alaska State Trooper in Anchorage, called the book "a pack of lies."

Has there been this many people calling a book a pack of lies since James Frey's little run-in with reality?

But....but.....but, is it worth it to pay $4.97 for a book and wait out in the cold rain for days just to be left holding the bag and having to take an unsigned book home? Was they happy with their star and does she ever finish what she starts?

Man Arrested for Throwing Tomatoes at Sarah Palin, Police Say

snip.

A man was arrested for allegedly throwing two tomatoes at Sarah Palin from the second floor balcony during a book signing event at the Mall of America in Minnesota, MyFoxTwinCities.com. reported.

Neither tomato came close hitting the former 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee, but did hit a police officer in the face, the station reported.

The unidentified man may face charges for assaulting a police officer, according to the station.

Die-hard supporters treated the event like another Black Friday, lining up outside in freezing weather before the mall doors opened at 5 a.m.

Emily Calhoon, a high school junior from Minnetonka, took the day off school with a group of fellow students and arrived at 4:45 a.m. Calhoon, 16, said she likes Palin's conservatism.

"She's a lot more relatable than the stereotypical old rich white male," said Calhoon as she waited in line, clutching a copy of Palin's memoir of her life and political career, "Going Rogue."

The former Alaska governor arrived just before noon. Wearing her trademark red, she took the stage joined by her husband Todd and carrying their son, Trig.

I love the opportunity to bring back one of my old threads even with the misspelling.

Here's a book that should be more entertaining than anything Sarah can write.

nydailynews

Sarah Palin's neighbor approached journalist Joe McGinniss to rent out house for tell-all book

snip.

Sarah Palin probably won't be asking her neighbors to borrow a cup of flour anytime soon.

It turns out that an unidentified neighbor of Palin's helped lure journalist and author Joe McGinniss to rent a house beside the former governor in Wasilla, Alaska earlier this week, according to the writer's son.

McGinniss, who has written immersive journalistic books on topics such as the Nixon campaign, is currently crafting a book about Palin. The author already profiled the beauty queen turned politician in Portfolio last year.

In an e-mail to a Palin supporter that was published on Politico, Joe McGinniss Jr. said that the neighbor had sought out his father because "the Palins had crossed her (owed her money for renovations she had done at their request and never paid her for)," Yahoo! News reports. "So she knew McGinniss was writing the book and found him and offered him the house."

McGinniss, Jr. supported his father's decision to take the offer, saying that it would be "journalistic malpractice" not to do so.

"We want to read the work of someone who is as close to their subject as possible," McGinniss, Jr. said. "That's called reporting ... He's not stalking or peeping or peering or meddling. He's simply fulfilling his obligations to his publisher and his readers and himself - to get as close to the subject of his book as possible."

The National Enquirer reportedly offered more money to rent the house "so they could 'stalk' and take pictures, etc.", but the neighbor turned them down, the e-mail continues.

Palin took to Facebook to respond to McGinniss's arrival. "Knowing of his many other scathing pieces of 'journalism'... we're sure to have a doozey to look forward to with this treasure he's penning,” Palin wrote on Monday. "Wonder what kind of material he'll gather while overlooking Piper's bedroom, my little garden, and the family's swimming hole?"

McGinniss, Jr. called Palin's remarks a "middle-school style reaction" in the e-mail.

I don't think he really needed to move in next door but the Palins got that fence they always wanted.

Todd Palin Builds a Fence Between the Family and Joe McGinniss

snip.

Meanwhile, Todd Palin began erecting a fence next to the property on Tuesday, after The Palins realized Mr. McGinniss was occupying the property next to theirs.

"Stay your distance and you better leave my kids alone," Ms. Palin said in an interview with Glenn Beck on Wednesday.

Funny how Palin, the Prostitute, carted her fucking dumbass kids all over the country during the campaign using them for mere props, including the teenage whore. And now she doesn't want anybody looking at them? Too funny. She should have thought about that when she was out pimping them, huh?

Here's one guy's opinion of it. I don't think McGinniss plans on peeking over the fence and I haven't seen pictures to see just how close the two houses are but it sure helps Sarah get much needed attention to herself.

voices/washpost

Sarah Palin's strange, unprofessional and paranoid grudge

snip.

Palin informs her readers that McGinniss is "overlooking my children’s play area" and "overlooking Piper’s bedroom." Alternately sounding angry and mocking, she refers to "the family’s swimming hole," which at first reference sounds like she's accusing McGinniss of checking out the Palins in their bathing suits, until you realize the family's "swimming hole" is Lake Lucille. And she posts a photo of the space McGinniss is renting, captioning it, "Can I call you Joe?"

Can somebody explain to me how this isn't a despicable thing for Palin to do? She describes McGinniss as the author of "the bizarre anti-Palin administration oil development pieces that resulted in my Department of Natural Resources announcing that his work is the most twisted energy-related yellow journalism they’d ever encountered."

Another way of putting it would be that McGinniss is an investigative journalist who wrote his first best-seller at age 26 and was shopping a book about Alaska and the oil industry when Palin was named John McCain's running mate. And another way of describing those "bizarre" pieces is that no one has ever challenged the facts in them.

Palin, who has an undergraduate degree in journalism, should understand that articles don't become untrue when the subjects don't agree with them.

snip.

Politicians don't have veto power over who gets to write about them, or how they research their stories, as long as they're within the bounds of the law. It's incredibly irresponsible for them to sic their fans on journalists they don't like. And that's what Palin is doing here -- she has already inspired Glenn Beck to accuse McGinniss of "stalking" Palin and issuing a threat to boycott his publisher.

This is really the ultimate example of the way Palin manipulates the press and inverts the relationship between reporters and politicians, turning the former into "stalkers," and the latter -- as long as they're Republicans or members of her family -- into saints whom no one can criticize. No one in the media should reward Palin for this irresponsible and pathetic bullying.

It seems to me like she would want them to forget that portion of her life where she proved to be a total loser.

And what was that new born supposed to take away from all that? What moment would be indelibly sketched on his little mind?

First view of Saranoid's Fencerocity.

Palin's attempt to keep the prying eyes of a writer out of her house. Sarah, wouldn't it be easier to just close the curtains? What a fucking moroooooon!

Suggestion to writer....get a lawn chair and head for the roof. Take a small table, a soft drink, and a pair of binoculars.

After seeing the fence that Todd built you know damn well he didn't build that house, huh?

Sarah Palin’s Neighbor Compares Her Tactics To ‘Nazi Troopers In Germany’

snip.

Sarah Palin’s new neighbor, author Joe McGinniss, got up early to talk to the Today show’s Matt Lauer from his porch this morning.

McGinniss said he was hoping for a “great friendship” with the Palin family, but instead he felt the brunt of her Facebook page – tactics, he says, like “Nazi troopers used in Germany.”

Correspondent Janet Shamlian, live from Wasilla also, set up the segment: “Is this just good immersive journalism, or is it stalking?”

Meanwhile, her report revealed McGinniss wouldn’t let the NBC cameras shoot from his house over to the Palin’s: “McGinniss is not allowing any photos of the Palin’s home from his property, out of respect, he says, for their privacy.”

Lauer then interviewed McGinniss, who said he had hoped to live next to the former VP candidate “peacefully, if not with great friendship.” But then came Facebook and her “revolting” comments, revealing the “power Palin has to incite hatred,” said McGinniss. “I’m not calling her a Nazi, but that’s the same kind of tactic that the Nazi troopers used in Germany in the ’30s, and I don’t think there’s any place for it in America,” he said.

'Perversion is a concept describing those types of human behavior that are a serious deviation from what is considered to be orthodox or normal.'

This statement could be incorporated into any definition of what a RW male is.

She said she meant on-land drilling not off-shore when she said it but that's a proven lie. Lying is part of the game and she's an expert at it. And she's gotten rich doing it so why stop?
