I guess Sarah's contract is not exclusive to Fox but then why would it be? And, yes, we all need to take abstinence lessons from Bristol.

newser

snip.

(Newser) – American's most famous teen mom and her famous mom, Sarah Palin, talked abstinence with Oprah today. Bristol Palin plans to hold to her vow not to have sex until she's married, even though the queen of all media offered her an out: "It's nobody's business when you chose to have sex," Winfrey said. "I think it's a goal to have, and I think other young women should have that goal," said Palin, 19, whose son, Tripp, is 13 months old.

Sarah Palin jumped in to ask, "Does that mean you're going to marry pretty young?" Said Bristol: "I don't know, Mom."

I wonder if Beck is serious or just rattling cages.

sphere

Beck Marks Anniversary by Marking His Turf

snip.

(Jan. 22) -- It's his show and he can cry if he wants to. But as Glenn Beck celebrated a successful first year on the air this week, viewers couldn't help but notice that the conservative firebrand wasn't in the partying mood.

snip.

On Monday, Beck described his first encounter with Palin to Bill O'Reilly. "I've never met anybody with shields up more than Sarah Palin," he said. "When she walked on to my set, she was Googling. She was actually getting her hair and makeup done, and she was Googling and talking to people." Then came an outright jab: "She's playing defense right now where she should be playing offense," Beck told O'Reilly. "I'm not convinced that she wants to be president."

His criticism didn't go unnoticed. At Pop Eater, Rob Shuter looked into reports of a "catfight" at Fox, and discovered that Beck may be a little jealous. "Sarah is the new flavor of the month at Fox. All the bosses love her," one network insider told Shuter. "And Glenn has convinced himself that it's his 5 p.m. slot that Sarah has her eye on."

What he's saying is: I lobbed her softballs that any blowhard worth his or her salt would have relished for the golden opportunity to wax simpleminded and dullwitted. Instead she sat there like the lump that she is.

I wish Sarah would make up her mind about running for president. And the tea party needs to decide what it wants to be when it grows up.

latimes

Still a disorganized 'tea party'

snip.

Born as a series of locally organized protests inspired by the Boston Tea Party, the movement remains a series of small clubs, some loosely connected by Web-based umbrella organizations, some not.

The largest single grass-roots network, Tea Party Patriots, claims to have nearly 1,000 tea party groups in its database. There is general agreement that it's time to connect the outposts, but little consensus on how.

Plans for a National Tea Party Convention in February drew early attention for its keynote speaker -- former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin -- and its gesture toward unity. The event, planned by Nashville attorney Judson Phillips, bears all the trappings of a political convention, with lobster tail on the menu and an invitation aimed at "delegates" representing tea party groups from around the country.

But activists balked at the cost -- $560 a ticket, not including a hotel room for the weekend. The price was necessitated by the cost of the Gaylord Opryland Hotel and speakers' fees, Phillips said.

Palin's fee is more than $100,000, with travel expenses, according to a source familiar with the booking. After the hubbub erupted, Palin suggested she wouldn't keep the fee, saying she would use the money to "contribute to campaigns, candidates and issues that will help our country."

Phillips, an attorney with a history in local Republican politics, would not discuss the matter. The criticism only mounted as Phillips acknowledged that the convention, like his for-profit social networking site Tea Party Nation, is a money-making venture.

"I'm not a socialist. I don't begrudge people trying to make money, but that's not what the tea party is about," said Antonio Hinton of the Knoxville Tea Party. "That convention has nothing to do with the tea party movement, as far as I'm concerned. I love Sarah Palin. I don't believe she knows who she's speaking to."

Are you saying they didn't recognize the Republican's real agenda or do you think they are so dumb that they don't know that all the GOP stands for is big money? I admit they looked plenty stupid when they threw their tea party, but what else is new?

If that's the case, Sarah is just too naive to run for office so she best keep doing what she's doing and making herself rich.

According to HuffPost, the new book from HANK Paulson shreds what little dignity Sorry Sarah still had:

And he takes a shot at Sarah Palin, describing how McCain excitedly put her on the phone with Paulson. Palin annoyed Paulson by continually calling him "Hank" and did not seem knowledgeable of the issues:

"Right away she started calling me Hank... But for some reason, the way she said it over the phone like that, even though we'd never met, rubbed me the wrong way. I'm also not sure she grasped the full dimensions of the situation I had sketched out - or so some of her comments made me think."

***

Unsurprisingly, it sounds as if he thought McCain was in the dark as well.

Sarah Palin's recent book success and her new high-profile role on Fox News are having a stunning impact on her political standing with a Newsmax-Zogby poll showing the former Alaska governor now leading the GOP field as the party's preferred candidate for president.

The exclusive Newsmax Media-Zogby poll released Thursday asked likely GOP voters: "If the Republican primary for president of the United States were held today... for whom would you vote?"

Despite the size and diversity of the field, Palin grabbed a solid 22.2% to take the lead with former Massachusetts Gov. Romney close behind with 19.4%. Also making a strong showing was former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich with 12%, followed by former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee at 11%.

Palin Says Rahm Emanuel Should be Fired for 'Retarded' Remark

A week after the Wall Street Journal reported that White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel called liberals planning to run attack ads against Obama "f---ing retarded," Sarah Palin caught wind of the statement. Saying she heard about it from a "patriot" in Andover, Mass., Palin excoriated Emanuel on her Facebook page and called for his resignation.

"Just as we'd be appalled if any public figure of Rahm's stature ever used the 'N-word' or other such inappropriate language, Rahm's slur on all God's children with cognitive and developmental disabilities -- and the people who love them -- is unacceptable, and it's heartbreaking," Palin wrote.

She added that by not publicly denouncing the remark, President Obama was sending the message that he considers it acceptable. "Rahm is known for his caustic, crude references about those with whom he disagrees, but his recent tirade against participants in a strategy session was such a strong slap in many American faces that our president is doing himself a disservice by seeming to condone Rahm's recent sick and offensive tactic."

Emanuel apologized to Tim Shriver, the head of the Special Olympics, for the remark.

Another hilarious bit on Palin's ingrained hypocrisy: She was whining about "political correctness" during the campaign and since. For most of us, we realize that's code for "I'm entitled to use all the nasty language I want and I can speak up for depriving others of their rights and imposing extra restrictions on people I don't like."

But when Emanuel used a term that gaga uses constantly and promiscuously here, Palin clutched at her pearls and gasped. And peabrained wingnuts fell in line.

When Sarah Palin addresses the National Tea Party Convention on Saturday night, MSNBC plans to cover the speech live.

The cable network's decision follows on the heels of yesterday's news that Fox would be airing it, too.

CNN, which has a documentary planned Saturday night, expects to air parts of the speech on different broadcasts over the weekend, while sending several correspondents to Nashville for the convention.

C-SPAN is trying to cover Palin's speech live.

UPDATE: C-SPAN has now announced their coverage plans. Friday 9-10 pm: Angela McGlowan, Fox News contributor, WorldNetDaily's Joseph Farah. Saturday 11:15 am - 12:15 pm: Discussion on "Where the Tea Party Movement Goes from Here." Saturday 12:30 - 1:30 pm: Discussion on "Precinct Organizing Best Practices. And Saturday 9-10 pm: Sarah Palin.

Why doesn't he just run for office himself?

In Sarah Palin administration, her spouse was active in state business

snip.

Officially he was the first gentleman of Alaska. More people called him the "first dude." But newly released e-mails show that Todd Palin was busy doing more than snow machine driving and salmon fishing during Sarah Palin's two and a half years as governor and vice presidential candidate.

Nearly 3,000 pages of e-mails that Todd Palin exchanged with state officials, which were released to msnbc.com and NBC News by the state of Alaska under its public records law, draw a picture of a Palin administration where the governor's husband got involved in a judicial appointment, monitored contract negotiations with public employee unions, received background checks on a corporate CEO, added his approval or disapproval to state board appointments and passed financial information marked "confidential" from his oil company employer to a state attorney.

She's everywhere!

nytimes

Palin, Visible and Vocal, Is Positioned for Variety of Roles

snip.

WASHINGTON — Without leaving home, Sarah Palin will be able to reach much of her political base, courtesy of a soon-to-be-built television studio in her living room paid for by her newest media patron, Fox News. From her house in Wasilla, Alaska, Ms. Palin also sends missives to 1.3 million Facebook “fans,” writes newspaper columns, Tweets and signs copies of her book for donors.

She reads daily e-mail briefings on domestic and foreign policy from a small group of advisers who remained loyal after her tumultuous vice presidential campaign in 2008. And though she has fashioned an image as an antiestablishment conservative, she also speaks regularly to a bipartisan nobility of Washington insiders who have helped enrich her financially and position her on the national political stage.

Ms. Palin is becoming increasingly vocal and visible, with a series of events scheduled this weekend: delivering a paid speech to the Salina, Kan., Chamber of Commerce on Friday night, headlining a national Tea Party convention in Nashville on Saturday and appearing on behalf of the re-election campaign of Gov. Rick Perry of Texas in Houston on Sunday.
